On the other hand, a second degree felony in the State of Florida is usually punishable by up to fifteen (15) years in the Florida Department of Corrections (i.e., state prison), up to fifteen (15) years of state probation, and/or up to a ten thousand dollar ($10,000.00) fine. Lastly, a first degree felony in the State of Florida is usually punishable by up to thirty (30) years in the Florida Department of Corrections (i.e., state prison), up to thirty (30) years of state probation, and/or up to a ten thousand dollar ($10,000.00) fine.
