Criminal Defense

Misdemeanors

At The Law Office of Efren Y. Arocho, PLLC, we represent clients that have been arrested or cited for any type of misdemeanor offense, whether it be a first degree or second degree misdemeanor. In the State of Florida, a second degree misdemeanor is punishable by up to sixty (60) days in jail, up to six (6) months of probation, and/or up to a five hundred dollar ($500.00) fine. On the other hand, a first degree misdemeanor  is punishable by up to three hundred and sixty-five (365) days in jail, up to twelve (12) months of probation, and/or up to a one thousand dollar ($1,000.00) fine. 

Felonies

At The Law Office of Efren Y. Arocho, PLLC, we represent clients that have been arrested for felony offenses ranging from third degree felonies to felony offenses punishable by life in prison. Excluding any instances where there are mandatory minimum sentences upon conviction, a third degree felony in the State of Florida is usually punishable by up to five (5) years in the Florida Department of Corrections (i.e., state prison), up to five (5) years of state probation, and/or up to a five thousand dollar ($5,000.00) fine. On the other hand, a second degree felony in the State of Florida is usually punishable by up to fifteen (15) years in the Florida Department of Corrections (i.e., state prison), up to fifteen (15) years of state probation, and/or up to a ten thousand dollar ($10,000.00) fine. Lastly, a first degree felony in the State of Florida is usually punishable by up to thirty (30) years in the Florida Department of Corrections (i.e., state prison), up to thirty (30) years of state probation, and/or up to a ten thousand dollar ($10,000.00) fine.
